Thread: Wine Tasting?

Would to hear from those who have done the wine tastings on the ships.

I have done several wine tastings, but never on a ship. I think it would be fun!

We have done several wine tastings while on cruises - various lines.

At one time they only cost $5 and on some of the cruise lines if you bought a bottle of wine at the wine tasting, they waived that fee. You usually sampled 6 wines.

Then the price jumped to $10 and 5 wines with nothing waivered if you bought a bottle of wine.

On one of our recent HAL cruises, the ordinary wine tasting was changed to a Premium wine tasting at the Pinnacle for $25 per person. We didn't go - don't know how many went - we forgot to check.

We always go to the wine tasting on our RCI cruises. I think it cost $10, but we always have free coupons for it. Wouldn't miss it!

We have done several with RCI. It was fun, but really depends on the people you are seated with. If you happen to sit with someone like the characters from the movie SideWays, it would be outstanding. The wine tasting was free with the coupon.

Oh sorry - I didn't mean to yell so loudly - hope I didn't wake any of you up..

We have done wine tastings on almost every cruise, although they didn't have one on the Carnival Legend. Most have a basic for $10 and a high-end one for $25 and we do both. Most recently have done both on the Caribbean Princess and the Carnival Valor.
