I love to get a massage while I'm on vacation. And not just a relaxing massage, but a deep massage that works out all my kinks and knots.

I had a bit of a disappointing massage on my last cruise, I kept thinking she was going to do the light weight stuff and then go in and work out the knots. I should have spoken up and asked her to do a deeper tissue massage rather than maybe the lightweight style that she might have done on more sensitive cruisers.

So tell me what do you asked for if you want a good massage. What kind of massages have you gotten.

The best massage I've had in years was the one I got while we were on our summer vacation this year in Caseville Michigan at a lake front resort. The young lady really got my knots out and I noticed improved back conditions for months, well still even now I'm in better shape.

I have never gotten a massage while cruising. There are just too many other things we like to do on the ship/cruise.

I always ask for deep tissue massage, because like the op they have to apply pressure for it to begin to work the knots out. I haven't had any outstanding massages on ships, but I keep trying. I think some may want a more gentle masssage, so that is probably what they are accustomed to providing.
