We enjoyed Maracus Beach and have been lucky (weather wise) the times we have been there. ( Our visits were always in January.)

LuLu, the currents were very strong, not too windy. The rains were west of the Bay, so it was dry at the beaches. Maracas Bay is very noted for strong, dangerous currents and undertow. When I lived there, it was common to be disappointed if you wanted to bathe there. We'd have to drive about 2 miles east to Las Cuevas Bay.
