I, also, never gave much thought to going to those countries. Maybe someday, but not on the top of my list. Then several years ago Janice and her daughter took that cruise and then had a week in Sweden where they have relatives to visit. She really liked that cruise and would like to do it again.
Then Karen wanted to do it so we booked it. And a month later her 2 siisters wanted to join us. I figured this was better than not going on a cruise. And what a surprise I got!!!! I am so glad I did. With 10 cruises this one ranks on top, over Alaska, Panama Canal, and Hawaii.
It's funny cause we had cool, cloudy weather (I much prefer warm weather cruises) and so busy that we didn't do a lot of ship activities, (I always enjoy that on the Caribbean cruises) and only once got out on the upper outside decks, (I am usually up there all the time). Yet this is now my favorite. I really feel it's a must do!! So give it very serious thoughts. And don't wait till retirement as the tours can be strenuous. |
