If we are leaving a local port we will drive because local is not that local.

To get a car service to NYC can be expensive since I am in upstate NY. The Bayonne, NJ port I am sure would be even more. Both range about an hour or so in distance.

To bother someone to make a round trip twice compared to the convenience and pricing of parking at a port is not worth it.

For our last 5 day cruise we paid 80 bucks to park at the pier. Now I was going to have the GF's mom take us, but 3 hours round trip x 2 trips = 6 hours of driving that alone is 30 in gas or more. Not to mention her having to get up around 4 or 5 in the AM to get to the port by 8 and wait until we get off the ship...

It was 80 well spent. So I voted drive.
