Yep! Learned alot. In fact, the sugar cane fields are subsidized by the government. But now, they realize there is more money to make in tourism, so the government has stopped subsidizing the sugar cane industry and decided to use the money to help build resorts and golf courses in an attempt to attract more tourism. Very pretty island.
