We have the same situation as Char but that it is easy for us to get to the Port of Los Angeles (an hours drive). We have been on two MR cruises, in late January and in February. The weather for the sailaway and the first day at sea could be cool and perhaps rainy, especially if between October and March. As soon as you get much farther south, the temperatures will become warmer.

We are kinda burnt out on this itininary, but because we've been to them (PV, Matz. and Cabo) twice now. Also been on a few Baja cruises, which just went as far as Ensenada. I'm just not big on Mexico. But it is convenient for us.
