New Waves Reef Snorkel & Stingray Safari

We just got off the Crown Princess this past week from a glorious 9 day cruise. Our first port of call was Grand Turk. This is a very pretty, little island. There isn't much going on there which is nice. No hustle and bustle, just a nice place to relax. The beaches there are beautiful with clean sand and the water is crystal clear and very warm. We did the New Waves Reef Snorkel & Stingray Safari. We don't snorkel but we did get into the water at the snorkel location. Those that did snorkel reported seeing plenty of coral and fish. After snorkeling for about 40 minutes we boated over to a small but very nice beach to play with the stingrays for another 40 minutes. This was my first experience with them and I was amazed at how docile they were. There were only two that greeted us that day but they let everyone touch them, hold them, feed them. Everyone agreed they feel like a wet mushroom, LOL. There were plenty of conch shells laying on the beach but I don't advise taking any. You aren't allowed to take them and those that did had them confiscated when re boarding the ship. At the pier in Grand Turk is a cluster of shops with what appeared to be very good prices. There is also a Margaritaville there with a large pool and swim up bar. We did not go to Margaritaville. It was pretty jammed and we were there to relax, not fight crowds so I can't answer any questions about it. I'm glad we got to see a little of this island before it becomes overly developed.
