I went to this historic temple for Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) 3 and half years ago, while on a Southern Caribbean cruise.

The temple was founded by families from the Curacao synagogue in the 1700s, who came from the Sephardic tradition. Today the temple is part of the US Ashkenazic Reform movement, since the congregation has changed over the years. But the sand floor from the original congregation is still maintained.

The temple is at the top of a very steep hill, and you can get T-shirts that say: "I climbed synagogue hill". I need to get one - it really is a feat!
