Just wanted to add the "rest of the story" to your post so no one gets the wrong impression about what happens when the pods fail on a Celebrity M-class ship.
You are correct about the free cruise on the May 20 sailing. What you did not cover what happened to the passengers on the cruise before the cancelled cruise for drydock. Those passengers missed over one half of their planned itinerary on a thirteen night cruise and the only real compensation was a $200 onboard credit per cabin. Granted there were some winners on the cancelled cruise but there were also some big losers on the May 7 Summit cruise and this problem still has not been resolved by Celebrity. I don't mean to dwell on this topic but I just wanted to post this to set the record straight on this point and give the whole story. |
