Great report.

I was going to write about our stops in Trinidad but they are nothing compared to yours. The first time we were there we did the general island and city which was great to introdude us to Trinidad.

The next time we were there we went out to St Benedict Monastery. We didn't see much of the monastery -- walked by the buildings and visited a museum. At the end of the tour we went to the main guest house where we had all kinds of pasteries and a couple of different kinds of tea and drinks. We chose to sit out on the porch and watch all the birds (many varities) and an anteater on the ground heading somewhere.

The first mini bus left about 45 minutes ahead of us. We were only about 5 minutes on the road when our mini van began to develop problems -- the engine sounded like it was going to die any time. Our driver called the other van and they slowed up and waited for us. It should have been about 1/2 hour drivr back to the ship. But with whatever was wrong with our engine, it turned into an hour drive. The other van stayed right with us. Can you imagine if we all had to try to squeeze into 1 van??

All 36 (total 2 vans) got back to the ship 5 minutes before sail time.
