I'm assuming you mean a spiral bound booklet. In that booklet, you'll find a couple of important things.
First, if you haven't done all your paperwork "virtually" (online), you'll find a couple of pages in there in the back of the "white pages" that warrant your attention before you get to the pier. That's where you fill out your method of payment, etc. Having these filled out in advance will save you some time. So look for a page called "Charge Account & Cruise Ticket". What follows is the actual "cruise ticket" / contract.
There should be a set of 4 luggage tags ready for you to slap on your suitcases just before you board. Normally, they'll have your cabin number already printed on them.
If you're finding your own way to the port, you'll find that up front in "Port Directions".
Most of the rest of the booket is a list of shore excursions in the middle, and a bunch of stuff to buy and general info at the end (the colored pages). One thing that may be useful in that back colored section is the "Evening Wear Planner" that explains the typical number of casual, informal and formal nights based upon the length of your cruise.
