Pink Sand Beaches!

Bermuda is, of course, famous for being one of the few places in the world you can find pink sand beaches. (Barbuda is another)

According to Bermuda's bBoard of Tourism, find the best one at South Beach Park, which includes Horseshoe Bay Beach.

WHY IS THE SAND PINK?
On many beaches, the sand is made of fine particles of coral and shellls, and appears white or beige in color. In Bermuda, mixed in with the coral and shell particles are particles of the shells of foraminifera. Foraminifera are teeny tiny sea creatures that live in the coral reefs in the waters off Bermuda. Their shells are very pinky, and these particles mix in with the others in great quantity, turning the sand there a pink hye.
