Because of the design of the Spirit Class ships, your cabin is in an area where the balconies are recessed, hence the reason for you looking at the 'freaking boat' as you so eloquently put it.
This is a picture of the Miracle taken from Webshots. You'll see three lifeboats at the aft (rear), a protrusion of balcony cabins, then seven more lifeboats fore (forward),those recessed balcony cabins are where you are looking at the boats from the balcony they upgraded you to.
As you said, have a good time and enjoy yourself, it is still a better cabin than the OV you paid for, and there's the Lido Deck also. |
