When I was in Tahiti "Swimming with the Sharks" was one of the excursions. We chose to feed the stingrays instead.

But my childhood was in Florida, and I saw plenty of sharks growing up. We had nurse sharks and hammerhead sharks all over the place near where I lived, and spotting them was as common as seeing a seagull. At a really young age I could tell the difference between a dolphin's dorsal fin and a shark's dorsal fin...important lessons for a beach kid!
