Localady .... Glad to have this information! Had hoped someone would speak up with something positive!

We were also on Veendam BUT a little later (in Guadeloupe on 1/20/05) but our port of call was Pointe-a-Prince ... not, Basse Terre! (We were to have gone to Basse Terre ... but it was changed.)

Great to know the locals were so much nicer to you folks in Basse Terre than they were to us in Pointe-a-Prince.
