We've been to PV a couple of times on land vacations and we also really love it! Stayed at the Marriott near the Marina both times. We found PV to be warm and friendly....with absolutely the most varied and best (and cheap!) restaurants on the planet! Many executive chefs from restaurants all over the world have "retired" there and you can eat outstanding meals that range from the traditional Mexican to Austrian, French, German and just about any other type of Continental cuisine you can think of. This influence flows over to the rest of the town, which makes it so interesting to visit. We also found that it has a "safe" feel to it as you walk around unescorted.
