Serenade to Sail year round from San Juan

Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas which has been wintering in San Juan, and sailing Alaskan Itineraries in the summer in recent years, will drop the Alaskan itineraries next year, and homeport year round in San Juan.

An increase in passenger "head taxes" and tougher regulations, makiing RCL's profit margin in Alaska slimmer were cited as reasons.

Passengers sailing the Serenade from San Juan will have a choice of two Southern Caribbean itineraries:

A sven night cruise, calling at Curacao, Aruba, Dominica and St. Thomas
or
A seven night cruise, calling at Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten and St. Croix.
