I think it really is a win/win choice!

Athens has so much history. If you studdied ancient history in school, you will find much of it right there. (Sorry for the italics. I don't know what I hit by mistake. I guess I keep hitting it because my writing is schizophrenic!!!)

As someone else said, Venice is magical. Personally, this would be my choice. There is only one Venice and it will touch your heart like no other city.

Monte Carlo has the palace, the changing of the guards, the Oceanographic museum and the famous casino. It is up on a hill and quite beautiful.
If you choose it, you can also stop at Eze. I think it is the same bus line.

Nice has the Promenade des Anglais, a beautiful boardwalk along the coast. There is a great flower market in the AM, there is the old part of town and there are several wonderful museums in one of the suburbs. (It begins with an "S" and you can take a bus.

I supose Monte Carlo would be more glamorous!

I have never been to Ephesus or Croatia, so I can't comment.

Whatever you choose, you will love it!

Wish I were going! I would at the drop of a hat!
