I have never been on a Disney cruise, but this summer we stayed at the Grand Floridian hotel at Disney World. If the Disney cruise ship's service, attention to detail, awesome food, decor, and that special "Disney magic" is anything like what they do in their nicer Disney hotels...then that might account for a lot of the difference in price. If you throw in the kid activities and amenities (sounds like it's way more fun for the kids, based on the answers I read here) then I'd say it's definitely worth paying a little more.
