Whether in Jamaica or NYC, if any purchases or charges seem out of the ordinary, my credit union will call me to verify the charges. I have had this happen once on my cruise to Jamaica and several times while making purchases in the U.S. At one mens shop in NYC, I had already purchased a few suits and was at the onsite tailor getting measured when they called to verify the charges. Thats' how quick they respond!
