We visited Grand Turk on our July 4 cruise. It was nice. There is a shopping area and beaches right next to the ship. The shopping area is an area right off the pier where local vendors set up their shops. It's not like at other ports where you walk down a street and go in the local stores. It's a shopping area that was probably made for the cruises.

Also right there are beaches. From what I heard they were nice. (We didn't go on the beach.) You can rent a cabana, which can fit four lounge chairs for $50 for the day, I think. That's what I heard.

There is also a Margaritaville with a nice pool area (including a swim-up bar).

I didn't really look at the excursions since we found about the change from Tortola to Grand Turk after we boarded the ship. I'm sure there are some good ones though. It seemed like a nice place. I would like to go back.
