I tend to get motion sickness (can't read in a moving car or train), but I took to cruising very well. If the ship gets rocking, I get myself a ginger ale, which helps. Our last cruise was on a notoriously rough sea cruise so we booked midships (which is the best place for your dh is you can get it) and I took ginger flavored Altoids along with candied ginger when I started getting woozy. Of course, my hubby and little girl aren't bothered at all. Go figure.

My mother is one of the worst travelers I know when it comes to motion sickness. But when my sister insisted she take a cruise with her, my mother got a patch from her doctor, and didn't have any problems at all.

Just have your husband check with his doctor about recommendations and pack at least a couple of those after trying them out on land beforehand.

Maybe he'll enjoy himself so much on the cruise that he'll be picking out the next cruise while onboard.
