As othrs have said, the poverty is terrible and sad to see. We have been there 3 times, but the tours are much to long for us, DH is disabled and can't do too many things. We do enjoy their "flea market" that is right there, so many nice things to buy! Being there 3 times we thought it was safe to go outside the gates and walk across the street to thier town, but the last time, DH was warned to remove his bracelet, because the person warning him, who lived there, noticed some men outside watching him. thankfully it started raing ral hard, and eveyone went away, so we made a mad dash back to the ship, soaked, but safe. Just a warning for those who like to venture outside the gates. These people are very poor so we look like $$$$$$ to them.
