Our first cruise started in San Juan (many, many years ago) on Cunard.

Since we were doing back-to-back cruises we waled to El Morro Castle -- loved it. Also spent the day walking through all the shops near the pier.

Another time we took the city tour.

And on another stop there we walked to San Cristobal Fortress.

Before a fire gutted the original Hard Rock Cafe we used to stop there for lunch (and drinks).

We also did the Bacardi Distillary a couple of years -- DON'T DO IT - a waste of money.

The last couple of years HAL now stops there late in the day and stays until around 11 or midnight (which we don't like) and expects everyone to book the late night dancers thing.

Otherwise we like San Juan.
