You're correct LuLu. However, if you fly over to the sister-island of Tobago, there's a reef called, Buccoo Reef offshore Tobago. It's a great place to snorkel. You'll see coral reefs and many species of fish.

To get the boat to take you to the reef, it's a short walk from the Crown Point Airport. You'll be taken to the reef and the Nylon Pool, a shallow section of water where you can see the sea floor very clearly, hence the name, "nylon pool". You can jump out the boat and wade in the water there.
