The only reason I know about St Ignatius is that, in school, the head of the drama dept was (I think) a Catholic. He told us that st. Ignatius was the patron saint of Actors and Actresses. Before every show, he went to the green room and said a prayer to St Ignatius.
Most everyone joined in... even those who weren't particularly religious. I guess most of them figured that any saint who had the special task of looking out for performers was an alright entity.
Today, of course, that department head would probably be either sued or imprisoned for doing something so utterly "offensive" as wishing for a saint to bless the work of his students.
