Hi again -- we're back! Missed you all and thanks for the good wishes.

While Hugo was sleeping one night and I was busy with internet (in Washington), I spotted a glitch fare from United for next January (sorry if I'm repeating all this to those that frequent CC), so we're flying from Newark to Honolulu in January for $292 PP all-in. Have to figure out how to get from Germany to Newark now -- and find hotels in HNL that won't break the bank. Anyone have any good suggestions for the hotel part?? Priceline will be my friend again, hopefully.

We are finally having summer in Germany -- today was about 86 and hopefully it will stay that way for a while.
