I don't think your cabin should be any different than any of the other Deluxe Ocean View cabins on the ship. The verandah will be standard sized. The verandah won't have a partition on the left side....just a short wall. There is no engine noise there. And you are only a couple of decks from the restaurant in the morning.

If you want to consider a great upgrade, see if you can get your hands on one of the aft facing cabins. They all have HUGE verandas (nearly as large as the cabins) and we love being able to sit back and watch the wake....silly as that sounds.
