There are many cruise lines now including Casa de Campo/ La Romana, and another port in the Dominican Republic on their itineraries. Carnival, Costa, and Royal Caribbean are a few among others who have added this to their itineraries.
Many are staying overnight here as they offer excursions to the capital, Santo Domingo, which is a 2 hour drive each way from the port. This enables guests to tour the area of La Romano, Casa de Campo, Altos de Chavon and Punta Cana the next day.
