Our ship docked at the other side of the town. There is this HUGE pontoon bridge that opens up to allow water trafiic through. You must see this!
We walked around this colorful town, and then hailed a taxi to take us to the beach. And what a beach it was! Beautiful white sand, turquoise waters, remincent of Aruba.
I once caught an episode of Love Boat where the ship was small enough to enter the "harbor"; similar to Bermuda, in that it parked "downtown".
One "strange" sight were the puppets made out of rocks, on the rocks where we pulled in (you may see some if you scroll through some of the other pictures in my link). Now, that reminded me of the rock grafitti on the Big Island on the lava flows along the highway. |
